Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd kept building on her triumph in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her records as an amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the the first round via TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout as a bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd was unable to reach her weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a an unanimous decision. Her UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina through her ground and pound techniques which resulted in an TKO second round victory. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks in her debut fight. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and each fighter getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of UFC in ESPN 7. In a recent replacement match to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
