McKayla Rose Maroney retired from artistic gymnastics and became an acclaimed singer. She competed in 2012 Summer Olympics as part of the American Women's Gymnastics Team often referred to as the Fierce Five. At the Olympics she earned the silver medal and also a team gold. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney is the daughter of Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney. (died 2019.) McKayla was raised in Aliso Viejo, in California. McKayla is child of Mike and Erin Maroney (died 2019). McKayla had two brothers: Tarynn & Kav. Homeschooling was done to prepare her for competitive gymnastics. Maroney told us she "when I was a kid, I would watch Tarzan and play around in my all-fours. "I need to get the child in gymnastics," my mother said. Lauren Drain, a former Westboro Baptist Church member and the author of Banished (2013) wrote about her experience in the church. Lauren Drain has been married since August 2013 and is currently married to David Kagan who is a fitness model. Aria Skye Kagan was born to the couple on 29th December, 2019. It was a brief time she lived on her own in Topeka but felt haunted with memories of being exiled from her home and church. Her father, mother, two siblings and brother were still members of church but cut all connections with her.
