Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ GOHmez was born on July 22, 1992. She is an American actor, singer, and producer. Gomez began her acting career in 2002 when she appeared on the TV show for children called Barney & Friends. She became famous for her role as Alex Russo, a teenage actor in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Gomez was also a part of several films which include Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2010). She also appeared in Ramona and Beezus (2010) as well as Spring Breakers (2012). She also voice actor on Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022). Gomez through July Moon Productions, executive produced 13 Reasons Why (2017-2022) and Living Undocumented (1919). She also appears in the Hulu comedy series that is a mystery Only Murders in the Building (21-21). Gomez was praised by critics for the latter show, and also nominations for the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She also produced and played in the cooking HBO Max series Selena + chef (2020-2022) as well as the mystery-comedy series on Hulu Only Murders in the building (2021-2022).
