Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ GOHmez was born on July 22, 1992. She is an American actor, singer, and producer. Gomez began her acting career in 2002 when she appeared on the TV show for children called Barney & Friends. She became famous for her role as Alex Russo, a teenage actor in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Gomez was also a part of several films which include Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2010). She also appeared in Ramona and Beezus (2010) as well as Spring Breakers (2012). She also voice actor on Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022). Gomez through July Moon Productions, executive produced 13 Reasons Why (2017-2022) and Living Undocumented (1919). She also appears in the Hulu comedy series that is a mystery Only Murders in the Building (21-21). Gomez was praised by critics for the latter show, and also nominations for the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She also produced and played in the cooking HBO Max series Selena + chef (2020-2022) as well as the mystery-comedy series on Hulu Only Murders in the building (2021-2022). The three albums have been certified as gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The albums comprise Kiss & Tell (2009) and A Year Without Rain (2010). Stars Dance, her debut solo album, was a massive success on the U.S. Billboard 200, and its leading single "Come and Take It" was a top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. The second album of Gomez, Revival (2015) debuted at the top of the charts in the US. It was certified platinum by RIAA and produced three top ten songs in the US: "Good for You" and "Same Old Love" as well as "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020) which was her third studio album, was her third straight top one album. The album's first single, "Lose You To Love Me" was her first top-ten hit in both the US as well as Canada. The album was also released Revelacion in Spanish and resulted in an Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album.
